| Sutherland Shire's Margaret-Ryall
Egan, was announced by the NSW Fitness Council, in November
2005, as 'Fitness Professional of the Year - 2005'.
Margaret, who is an International Aqua Fitness Presenter
and Personal Trainer with sixteen years experience in
the fitness industry, is an innovative and dedicated
person, with a passion to impart knowledge on healthy
lifestyle and to particularly make a difference with
clients with disabilities and special needs.
In the recent years Margaret has worked with Olympians
Ian Thorpe, Alyson Annan, Michele Timms, Shelly Sandie,
Trish Fallon and Robyn Maher, National Swimmer and Olympic
trialists Lori Munz, the Sydney Kings and Flames basketball
teams, the former NSW Sheffield Shield squad, the Bulldogs
and Panthers rugby league sides, and the Australian
Defence Force.
Included in Margaret's current client base are the
Sharks NRL team, 2006 Australian Winter Paralympic candidate
Cynthia Mitchell and former St George & Sharks great
Monty Porter, as well as many pre and post operative
patients, young adults with high support needs, stroke,
MS and Parkinson's sufferers, and the general population.
Margaret is also a well respected learn to swim coach,
having coached Ian Thorpe in his formative years.
Margaret is also a testament to the old adage, "necessity
is the mother of invention", having herself invented
two aqua fitness products to alleviate clients' suffering
and to assist in their rehabilitation, and jointly with
